[Dance Paradise] Virtual Box – Remix Competition - reminder....

Here's a little reminder for the producers on this list.....

Virtual Box – Remix Competition

Matt Pincer and Made2dance Records   are giving you the opportunity to remix a track of the Matt Pincer album Virtual Box.



Three tracks of this album have been selected to remix:

2 remixes of each track will be included in the Remix EP which will be released digitally on all major download portals, so each track will have 2 winners. From these 6 winners in total there will be 1 main winner. He will get a digital release from one of his own unsigned tracks (on the condition that the winner has some quality unsigned tracks of his own) and Matt Pincer will provide a remix of this track too!

Winners will be choosen by Made2dance Records and Matt Pincer.

How to enter this competition?

1. Download the remix sample pack:

2. Complete your remix. It must be in trance style (uplifting trance, progressive trance, tech trance, hard trance..... just TRANCE!!!).

3. Upload your remix (320 kbps mp3) to a service like Yousendit.com  (where you can store your track for 7 days). Don't use services like Megaupload or Rapidshare which will be indexed by Google. Even better: use Dropbox! Read below what Dropbox is, with my referral you will get 250 MB extra space:

4. Send a message to Matt Pincer on Myspace, Facebook or Hyves with the message "Virtual Box Remix Competition" and the link to the track.

5. Winners will be announced a few weeks after the deadline.  

The deadline is August 15th 2010.

 

A few rules:

You are not allowed to put the complete remix on any streaming media sites like Youtube, Myspace or Soundcloud before the deadline, but you are allowed to put 1- or 2-minute previews online.

Winners will have to send a WAV-file of the remix too (after the results have been revealed).

Copyrights of the tracks go to Made2dance Records.

Because we expect a certain quality level, in case we don't receive emough remixes reaching that quality level, it is possible that not 2 remixes pro track will be released, but only 1 or even no remix at all. On the other side if there are more than 2 remixes which are of outstanding quality it's possible that 3 remixes will be released instead of 2.

** Dropbox: Wat is it?

Are you a producer who has to upload files once in a while to record labels, dj friends etc.? Of course you know services like Yousendit or Rapidshare, but now there's something much easier: Dropbox. You have 2 Gigabyte storage possibilities.

First of all the great thing is if you use 2 computers you can drop a file in the Dropbox folder on your harddisk, and the file pops up in the dropbox folder on any other computer where you installed Dropbox with your own account.

The second great thing is that you can make a public link for any of the files and send that link to anyone you like (without them needing to have dropbox installed too). So you have total control over the link. Yousendit for example let's the files stay for only 7 days, but if you need to have a file stored for a longer period of time, you can use dropbox.

Since it's 2 Gigabyte you can also share large dj sets.
